PF+ is era-adjusted: 100 is league-average scoring for that season. Raw average PPG remains useful for context, but should not be compared directly across scoring eras.
Rule Changes by Year
2011
League expands
- The league grows from 10 to 12 teams.
2013
Playoffs tighten, flex opens up
- Playoff field cut from 8 teams to 6. Half the league now misses the postseason.
- The RB/WR slot becomes a full RB/WR/TE flex.
- D/ST fumble-return touchdowns are now worth 6 points.
2014
Decimal scoring; the draft moves to its own board
- Decimal scoring arrives: per-yard scoring for passing (0.04), rushing and receiving (0.1), plus −1 for interceptions and −2 for fumbles lost.
- The draft leaves ESPN’s live draft room for the league’s own draft board.
2015
The big overhaul
- Full PPR: 1 point per reception.
- Kickers eliminated, along with the K slot and all kicking scoring.
- A third starting WR takes the kicker’s roster spot.
- FAAB waivers begin: every team gets a $1,000 bid budget, unchanged since.
2018
D/ST scoring rebuilt
- Defense scoring restructured: points-allowed tiers repriced and a new yards-allowed scoring dimension added.
- Interceptions thrown now cost −2, up from −1.
2020
COVID roster flexibility
- Four IR slots added for the pandemic season (kept through 2021, retired after).
2021
A 14th regular-season week
- The regular season extends from 13 to 14 weeks with the NFL’s move to a 17-game schedule; the playoffs stay a 6-team, 3-week bracket.
2022
The LLC forms
- Fat Pat joins as co-owner of Pookie’s franchise. The Lucas-Lee Coalition ("LLC") era begins.
2023–present
Unchanged
- No rule changes since 2022.
