Average points per fantasy team has dropped steadily with each successive week:
Week 1: 102.58
Week 2: 91.75
Week 3: 80.92
Interestingly enough, this was the highest scoring weeks in the 2013 NFL season (touch under 47 ppg). So what’s the deal? Bad fantasy management? The curious case of AJ Green/Peyton Manning Week 1? Injuries of week 3? The answer, well that’s up to you.
Some food for thought: The records of the ESPN projected ‘favorites’ heading into each matchup through 18 matchups? 9-9. Of those 9, only 4 covered the ‘spread’.
To state it bluntly, fantasy projections are about as important as Tom Brady’s 40-yard dash time.
